What Data We Collect
- Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We store this to identify your account.
- Trip data — Trips, days, and places you create are stored in our database so you and your collaborators can access them.
- Analytics — If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general device/browser information. No personally identifiable information is sent to GA4.
Cookies
- Session cookie — Used by Auth.js to keep you signed in. Essential for the app to function.
- Analytics cookies — Set by Google Analytics only if you click “Accept” on the consent banner. These help us understand how the site is used.
- Preference cookies — We store your theme preference (light/dark mode) and consent choice in your browser’s localStorage. These never leave your device.
How to Opt Out
When you first visit the site, a consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. If you decline, no analytics data is collected. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser’s localStorage for this site and refreshing the page.
